Hareline Rams Wool
Hareline Rams Wool is a dense, loose wool-like tying material for shaping and clipping streamer heads, bodies and similar fly patterns.
Construction and use
Select a bundle suited to the required volume, secure it firmly to the hook shank and use thread to establish the outline of the head or body. Once tied in, the material can be trimmed with scissors or shaped by progressive clipping to create a compact profile. Building the form in layers helps control bulk and the transition between the head and body.
- Material: dense wool with a compact, fibrous structure.
- Form: loose tying material for shaping and clipping.
- Uses: streamer heads, bodies and compact fly profiles.
- Technique: secure bundles, build the shape with thread and finish by trimming.
