Hareline Senyo s Wacko Hackle

Hareline Senyo's Wacko Hackle is a multistrand long-fibre material for mobile bodies, collars and synthetic hackle. The fibres can also be used as a flowing wing or tail element, particularly on Intruders, streamers and wet flies where movement is part of the pattern profile.

Construction and use

Tie the material to the top and bottom of the hook shank, then comb and arrange the fibres. When wrapping, sweep the fibres rearward before each turn so they are not trapped by the next wrap. Placing the material in a dubbing loop creates a fuller, controlled synthetic hackle effect. After tying, the fibres may be trimmed, separated or left in a naturally tapering arrangement. The construction supports both compact collars and longer flowing sections.
