Hareline Senyos Laser Hair Dubbing
Hareline Senyo’s Laser Hair Dubbing blends Ice Dub with acrylic staple fibres approximately 1.5 inches long and was developed with Greg Senyo. It is substantially longer than conventional abdomen dubbing, so it can form bodies as well as wings, collars and sculpted streamer heads. Distributed flash fibres emphasise movement without creating a stiff reflective sheet.
Construction and use
For a head, tie in or spin the material, brush it thoroughly, sweep it rearward and trim it to the baitfish profile. Longer bunches can also be aligned as a wing. Only selected shortened fibres are needed on small nymphs. Compared with standard Ice Dub, Laser Hair provides considerably more length and far greater scope for three-dimensional shaping.
