Hareline Silky Bunnybou Strips

Hareline Silky Bunnybou Strips are longitudinal rabbit-fur strips with short, very soft and dense fur, without longer guard hairs. Their uniform, silky texture is suited to slim streamer wings, tails and backs.

Construction and use

Select a strip length to suit the hook and the planned fly profile. Part the fur at the tie-in point, expose the skin and secure it with tying thread. For a wing or back, lay the strip lengthwise along the shank with the fur directed to the rear. Control the thread tension to avoid distorting the skin, then trim and secure the end at the head.
