Hareline Thick Crystal Skin

Hareline Thick Crystal Skin is a soft, flexible adhesive-backed sheet for larger baitfish, crab, shrimp and saltwater-fly profiles. Shapes can be cut directly from the sheet, while the adhesive layer helps join the material and close a body around an underbody.

Construction and use

Trace or fit a template to the hook, cut the shape with sharp scissors and peel away the protective backing. Tie or position the material on the underbody, then press the adhesive surfaces together while guiding the sheet around the body. On larger flies, leave a little excess at the head and tail so the fit can be trimmed after positioning. A thin coat of compatible varnish or resin can be used to protect the edges.
