Hareline Thingamabody
Hareline Thingamabody is a ready-made buoyant, waterproof fly body with a groove for the hook shank and defined tie-in points. It provides a shaped body for surface-fly patterns and can be finished with legs, a wing, hackle or an indicator as the pattern requires. The prepared form keeps the main body work quick and consistent.
Construction and use
Select a body size that suits the hook and the intended pattern, then align the groove with the hook shank. Secure Thingamabody with tying thread at the indicated tie-in points, using firm wraps without distorting the body. Add legs, a wing, hackle or an indicator according to the fly design. White and clear bases can be coloured with markers, allowing the body to be adapted to a chosen colour scheme while retaining its prepared shape.
