Hareline Translucent Ice Chenille Large

Hareline Translucent Ice Chenille Large is chenille with a large profile, translucent fibres and a reflective finish. It builds broad streamer bodies and larger flies where a full, fibrous surface with visible translucency is required.

Construction and use

Before winding, expose a short section of the core by clearing the fibres at the tie-in point. Secure the core to the hook shank, then wind the chenille in adjacent turns. Sweep the fibres back before each turn so they are not trapped underneath and the body remains even. The Large size is selected for broader bodies and larger streamers; a finer chenille gives better control on smaller patterns. Finish by securing the exposed core and trimming the excess.
