Hareline Trilobal Antron Chenille Medium
Hareline Trilobal Antron Chenille Medium is chenille with a medium profile and reflective Trilobal Antron fibres. It builds fly and streamer bodies of moderate bulk, leaving an even fibrous surface with a clear material sheen.
Construction and use
At the starting point, expose a short section of the core by sweeping the fibres aside and tie it to the hook shank. Wind the chenille in adjacent turns, sweeping the fibres back before every turn. This reduces trapped fibres and helps produce an even body. The Medium version suits streamers, wet flies and other patterns requiring an intermediate profile. To taper the body, vary the spacing between turns gradually; on smaller flies, control the final size by using fewer turns.
- Form: chenille intended to be wound.
- Profile: medium, for bodies of moderate bulk.
- Fibre material: reflective Trilobal Antron.
- Preparation: expose the core and sweep fibres back before successive turns.
