Hareline Trilobal Antron Chenille Small
Hareline Trilobal Antron Chenille Small is a compact chenille with a central core, intended for building smaller, slimmer fly and streamer bodies. Its Trilobal Antron fibres create a distinct reflective surface and an even profile when wound around the hook shank. The Small form is suited to patterns where the body should remain controlled rather than bulky.
Construction and use
Expose a short section of the core before tying it in, allowing the thread to grip the material securely without adding unnecessary bulk. Wind the chenille in adjacent turns, controlling spacing and tension as the body develops. It can be used for nymph, larva and streamer bodies, with the number of turns determining the finished length and volume. Sweep the fibres back before each turn so they remain clear of the following wrap and the surface stays tidy.
- Form: compact chenille built around a central core.
- Fibre: Trilobal Antron provides a reflective, even body surface.
- Profile: the Small version is suited to slimmer, smaller-bodied patterns.
- Uses: nymph, larva, wet-fly and streamer bodies.
