Hareline UV Galaxy Mop Chenille is a dense, rounded mop-style chenille for building compact fly bodies. Its construction is suited to prepared sections with the characteristic soft, rounded appearance of mop bodies, making it useful in lake flies as well as streamers.

Construction and use

Select the material according to the intended body size and profile, then cut the required section. Lightly secure the cut end to the hook shank so the rounded form is retained, and shape the section to match the planned body. Maintain even thread tension and avoid flattening the chenille with excessive pressure. The UV finish responds under ultraviolet light through a reactive or reflective effect.
