Hareline UV Mottled Galaxy Mop Chenille
Hareline UV Mottled Galaxy Mop Chenille is a dense, rounded mop-style chenille for forming short, full larval-style bodies on flies. Its compact profile is used mainly for mop flies, while cut sections can also create segmented bodies on selected streamers and lake flies. The material provides a distinct, compact mop silhouette.
Construction and use
Cut a section to suit the hook and the intended body length, then secure that section on the shank with tying thread. A few firm thread wraps at the end hold the material in place; use it as a cut mop section secured directly to the shank. Choose the section length and bulk in relation to the hook size and the body shape being tied. The Mottled Galaxy pattern produces a broken, changing colour pattern along the material. Its finish is UV-reactive or UV-reflective.
