Hedron Big Fly Fibre
Hedron Big Fly Fibre is a loose synthetic fibre material for building full streamer wings and large flies. It creates a broad, flexible profile without making the fly unnecessarily compact. The fibres can be arranged in contrasting layers, blended in one bundle, or shaped into a slimmer wing and tapered with scissors. Use it for large pike streamers and saltwater patterns, as well as for backs, sides or tails where a substantial synthetic fibre profile is required.
Construction and use
Separate a small bundle and even the tips before tying it in. Avoid overly dense bunches, which can restrict movement in the water; build volume with several light layers instead. Trim the material after securing it to the hook shank so the final length and silhouette match the pattern.
- Streamer wings Build broad or tapered profiles by layering small bundles.
- Large flies Use the fibres in pike and saltwater streamer patterns.
- Layering Combine colours to define the back, sides and overall baitfish shape.
- Finishing Secure each bundle firmly, comb the fibres and trim the profile cleanly.
