Hedron Flashabou Speckled
Hedron Flashabou Spackled is flat reflective flash marked with small black spots across the strands. The speckled surface breaks up a uniform flash and gives a streamer wing an irregular contrasting pattern. It retains the practical form of flat Flashabou: use it as a light wing layer, a lateral accent, a back or a few strands in the tail.
Construction and use
Select a small portion, align the strands and secure them firmly on the hook shank. Spackled can be layered between bundles of synthetic hair, placed along the sides of a wing or trimmed to length after tying. The spotted pattern remains clearest when the material is not buried in an overly thick bundle. Leave the ends free to move as the streamer is retrieved, and shape the profile only after the fibres are securely tied.
- Form: flat, reflective Flashabou strands.
- Finish: small black spots over the base strand colour.
- Uses: streamer wings, backs, sides and tails.
- Method: tie small portions, layer the strands and trim them after securing.
