Hedron Holographic Fly Fiber
Hedron Holographic Fly Fiber is a loose synthetic fibre material for streamer wings and baitfish profiles. It is slightly stiffer than standard Flashabou, while its holographic surface produces a changing reflection as the fly moves. The fibres make it easy to establish a clear outline, adjust the length and combine several layers within one wing. They can be used as a complete wing or as a controlled reflective accent.
Construction and use
Take small portions and secure them with firm thread wraps on the hook shank. The slightly stiffer fibres are easy to align before tying in; once attached, they can be separated, layered and trimmed to shape. Use the material for an outer wing layer, back, side or tail. Leave enough space between fibres to preserve movement rather than creating a heavy, compact bundle.
- Material form: loose, slightly stiffer synthetic fibres.
- Optical effect: holographic reflection from the fibre surface.
- Applications: streamer wings, backs, sides and tails.
- Tying method: secure small bundles, layer them, taper and trim the profile with scissors.
