HMH Profile Plate

HMH Profile Plate is an adjustable background plate that mounts on a fly-tying vise stem. Its plain white surface separates the outline of the fly from objects and changing colours around the bench. This makes proportions, material placement and successive thread wraps easier to observe. The neutral background is also useful when inspecting or photographing a completed fly.

The plate moves from side to side and front to back, and it can be tilted to align the background with the vise jaws and the tier’s viewing angle. The assembly uses a machined Delrin support body, machined brass adjustment fittings and a stainless-steel rod. The mounting body is designed for vise stems measuring 3/8 in (9.5 mm) in diameter. The vise is not included.
