Loon Ergo Precision Scissors

Loon Ergo Precision Scissors are compact fly-tying scissors with an overall length of 4 in (approximately 10 cm), designed for cuts made where there is little working room around the hook. The straight stainless-steel blades taper to very fine, sharp points. This profile lets the tips reach between elements of a fly to remove a single fibre, cut thread or trim a small amount of excess material without bringing the wider part of the blade close to a finished head or wing.

Large, ergonomically shaped finger openings provide a stable grip and help the tier control short cutting movements. The handle is powder coated, while the straight, versatile form works for both finishing very small patterns and routine tasks at the vise. Each pair is hand-tuned in the USA. The design combines slender tips for detailed trimming with a construction intended to withstand regular use as an everyday tying tool.
