Loon Night Strike Kit
Loon Night Strike Kit combines a Bio-Glo strike indicator with a UV Mini Lamp for fishing after dark. Charging the indicator with the lamp makes its position easier to follow at night, helping the angler monitor the drift and recognise a stop, acceleration or unusual movement that may signal a take.
Position the indicator on the leader according to the depth being fished and the presentation required. Illuminate it with the UV lamp before casting, then recharge it whenever its visibility begins to fade. Using a dedicated light for this task can also reduce the need to switch on a brighter general-purpose torch and disturb the eyes’ adjustment to darkness.
The kit is particularly useful for nymphing and other presentations where visual strike detection is an important part of controlling the rig. Before heading onto the water, check the lamp and choose an indicator position that supports natural movement of the flies without making the cast unnecessarily awkward.
