Negnon Omega Orionis Long Dist Fly Line
Negnon Omega Orionis Long Dist is a floating WF fly line for fishing situations in which the presentation must reach further. Its handling character comes from a long head with a profile close to a reverse delta. This construction does not replace sound casting technique; instead, it gives the angler scope to carry a controlled length of line in the air, organise the loop and prepare the delivery before releasing the running line towards the target.
Omega Orionis Long Dist will particularly suit casters who maintain an unhurried tempo and manage the path of the rod and line deliberately. The long head rewards smooth acceleration, a positive stop and an orderly loop. Once the cast has been formed, the running line can be released and the energy in the head used to produce the required reach. Its distance capability therefore comes from controlled line carry and timing rather than from simply forcing the rod or rushing the stroke.
Profile and fishing use
The near reverse-delta profile encourages energy to travel progressively through the head. On the water, this helps preserve continuity between the casting stroke, loop formation and the final turnover. As the head is long, its full character is most apparent in the hands of an angler comfortable carrying more fly line beyond the rod tip and adjusting that length before making the delivery. With only a short section outside the guides, the advantages of the extended profile will be less pronounced.
A low-stretch braided core provides the connection between line and rod. Its limited stretch supports clear transmission of casting movements and a more direct sense of how the fly line is behaving, while the braided construction helps it resist taking a set in coils. The very slick, silky Hi-Silk coating allows the line to travel smoothly through the guides and reduces resistance as the running line is released.
The front section uses HI-Float technology to support its position at the surface. A factory-fitted front loop provides a straightforward connection to the leader without the need to create a separate loop. Printed identification makes the line type and class easier to recognise when storing lines or changing between set-ups.
