Partridge PWW Wide Wet Fly Hooks

Partridge PWW Wide Wet is a hook for contemporary wet flies used in both stillwater and river fishing. It is barbless, making it suitable where straightforward unhooking and reduced handling of the fish are important.

Design and use

The construction combines standard wire and forging with a distinctive bend and a wide gape. This geometry leaves room for fuller wet-fly profiles, soft-hackle patterns and modern flies intended to fish in the water column. When tying, leave clear space near the eye and avoid crowding the rear of the shank so that the wide gape remains effective.
