Partridge SUD2 Patriot Ideal Standard Dry Barbless Fly Hooks

Partridge SUD2 Patriot Ideal Standard Dry Barbless is a barbless hook for standard dry flies and emerger patterns. It is described as an all-purpose model for these two fly groups, making it suitable for tying straightforward surface imitations as well as transitional patterns that sit partly in or just below the surface film.

Design and use

The hook uses a beaked surehold point, a shaped point intended to help retain a hooked fish. When tying, leave the point clear rather than allowing hackle or body materials to crowd it. Its standard dry-fly format provides practical tying room for conventional dry and emerger proportions without prescribing one particular pattern style.
