Peak Waste Catcher is a stem-mounted waste basket that helps keep the fly-tying area tidy. Positioned beneath the working area, it collects trimmed thread, feathers, hair and synthetic materials before they reach the bench or floor. The basket is made from durable white nylon. Its light surface also provides a contrasting background, making it easier to spot small materials or tools that have accidentally fallen among the clippings.

The mount is designed for vise stems and accessory shafts measuring 3/8 in (9.5 mm) in diameter, so compatibility is determined by the diameter of the mounting point. PEAK recommends sliding the mount on from the end of the stem rather than snapping it over the side. When the basket needs emptying, it can be removed from the mount without taking the bracket or other stem-mounted accessories off the workstation. Peak Waste Catcher includes the nylon basket and its mounting bracket; the vise, base, tools and other accessories are not included.
