Renzetti Sw Midge Bobbin Ruby Tip combines the extended working reach of the SW version with the slim tube profile associated with the Midge designation. This construction improves access when tying on larger hooks or working around materials already secured to the shank, while retaining the narrow profile needed for accurate thread placement. The ruby tip provides a smooth thread exit and helps reduce friction and wear at this heavily used contact point. A Teflon-lined tube supports an even passage of thread through the bobbin.

This is a conventional spring-arm bobbin, not a dial-adjustable, slider-controlled or disc-drag model. Thread tension is determined by arm pressure and spool fit. Before tying, centre the spool between the tapered retaining points and make sure it rotates smoothly without side-to-side movement. If the pressure is too high or too low, make only a small, even adjustment by gently spreading or closing the arms.
