Rio Euro Nymph Leader
RIO Euro Nymph Leader is a tapered leader designed for European nymphing techniques. It provides a ready-made foundation for a contact nymphing rig, helping the angler follow the drift and recognise subtle takes while fishing flies below the surface. The final tippet can be selected separately to suit the water, fishing depth and size or weight of the nymphs being used.
The leader begins with 9 feet of tapered, milky-white nylon for clear visibility. This is joined to a 22-inch section of RIO 2X two-tone Indicator Tippet material. Its contrasting colours make the leader easier to track in changing light and provide a visible reference for detecting small pauses, movements or changes of direction during the drift.
A tippet ring at the end allows the angler to attach a chosen length and diameter of tippet. This makes it straightforward to adapt the terminal section to different currents, depths and fish behaviour, while repeated tippet changes do not shorten the two-tone indicator section.
