Spirit River All Around Estaz Lt Colors is a reflective long-fibre chenille for building fly bodies by winding it on the hook shank. Its mobile surface suits streamers, trout flies and Woolly Bugger patterns, and it can also be used as a synthetic collar. The material is organized on a dispenser holding six spools, making individual sections convenient to cut and secure.

Construction and use

Expose a short section of the core by moving the fibres aside, then tie that section firmly to the shank. Wind the material in adjoining turns, sweeping the fibres rearward before every turn. This reduces trapped fibres and preserves a full, mobile surface. Vary the number of turns to adjust the body profile; when the body is complete, secure the material with thread or a rib before cutting it off.
