Spirit River Bodi-Fuzz
Spirit River Bodi-Fuzz is a soft, closely trimmed fuzzy yarn for forming nymph bodies and scud abdomens. It is twisted with a small amount of Mylar, combining a soft fibrous texture with a restrained reflective accent. The yarn can be wound directly on the hook shank to create a full, slightly irregular body profile suitable for a range of fly patterns.
Construction and use
Make an even thread base and secure the material firmly at the rear of the body before winding. The yarn end can be opened slightly to provide a neat tie-in point. Wind the turns closely for a compact body or leave small spaces for a more segmented appearance. Sweep the fibres back as each turn is made so they remain visible rather than being trapped under the next wrap. Finish the yarn before the eye, bind it down, and trim any fibres that extend beyond the intended outline.

- Finish: a restrained reflective accent that breaks up the body surface.
- Uses: nymph bodies, scud abdomens and other small to medium fly patterns.
- Technique: split or prepare the yarn end, tie it in, and wind it along the hook shank.
