Spirit River Lightnin Dub

Spirit River Lightnin Dub is made for streamers and wet flies that need a full body with a pronounced, lively profile and a restrained touch of flash. Its defining feature is the combination of strongly spiky fibres and subtle sparkle. Rather than forming a smooth, uniform surface, it produces an uneven body with fibres that stand out and suggest the movement and irregularity of natural material.

Construction and use

It is especially well suited to buggers, steelhead flies and wet flies with large, full bodies. Apply it directly to the thread for a quick body, or place it in a dubbing loop when you want a more substantial, rugged texture that can be shaped and brushed.
