Spirit River Lite Birte Dubbing
Spirit River Lite Birte Dubbing is a classic mylar material with more than one job at the vise. It can be spun as dubbing, but it is also suited to wings and shucks. The fibres add a clear reflective accent while remaining useful for both individual fly details and larger sections of an imitation. It is a practical choice whenever a pattern needs sparkle without relying on a separate flash strip.
Construction and use
Use it on the thread for a bright thorax or body, in a dubbing loop when a fuller surface is wanted, or as a winging and shuck material. The finish can be kept neat for a defined outline or opened up slightly for a less uniform appearance.
- Material: classic mylar dubbing with a reflective character.
- Uses: dubbing, wings and shucks across many fly patterns.
- Finish: a noticeable sparkle that breaks up a plain, matte body.
- Tip: for dubbing, apply a small amount to pre-waxed thread, twist it firmly, then tease it gently with Velcro to separate the fibres.
