Spirit River UV2 Jailhouse Rabbit

Spirit River UV2 Jailhouse Rabbit consists of rabbit fur strips and a contrasting Jailhouse barred finish. The material is intended for flies of different sizes, especially streamers where the bars can form a clear pattern across a wing, tail, back or body. The package contains four strips approximately 30 cm long.

Construction and use

Cut the strip to the planned length and clear the hair at the tie-in point by parting it to either side. Secure the hide to the shank, set the hair toward the rear and control its position while building the fly. Run the strip lengthwise along the shank as a wing, tail or back and secure the hide at carefully chosen points.
