Sprite S2499 Barbless Scud Matt Bronze Fly Hooks (50)

Sprite S2499 Barbless Scud Matt Bronze is a barbless hook for scuds, buzzers, grubs, curved-body flies and emergers. Its short shank and light wire suit slim, lightweight dressings where maintaining a continuous curved body is important. The matt bronze finish is appropriate for natural scud and insect imitations.

Design and use

The continuous bend makes it easier to reproduce the rounded outline of a scud and other curved-body patterns. The reversed down-eye creates a distinctive head position and provides a practical route for the thread at the front of the fly. The short shank gives limited tying space, so materials are best applied in thin, even layers. The hook also suits compact buzzers, grubs and emerger patterns.
