Stonfo Dubbing Brush Device
Stonfo Dubbing Brush Device (item 661) is a stem-mounted accessory for rotary fly-tying vises, designed for making custom dubbing brushes on metal wire. It produces brushes up to 23 cm long. The stable, height-adjustable work table has grooves that help distribute dubbing, hair, feathers and synthetic fibres evenly along the wire. Its mounting is intended for vise stems measuring 8–10 mm in diameter, including the common 3/8-inch size.
Before starting, set the table height so the material can be arranged comfortably beneath the tensioned wire. A graduated recess at the corner of the table helps trim fibres to a consistent length. Once the material has been positioned between the wire strands, the table can be lowered to provide clearance for twisting the brush with the rotary action of the workstation. The separately available Stonfo Turbo Spin may be used as an additional rotary component. Check both the stem diameter and the available space around it before installation.
