Stonfo Hair Packer

Stonfo Hair Packer is a double-headed tool for compacting natural hair and synthetic fibres on the hook shank. Its distinguishing feature is a pair of differently sized, shaped heads, allowing the working surface to be selected for the size of the fly being tied. Each head contains an elastic cylinder that accommodates the hook as the tool is moved along the shank.

The head can be used to push successive portions of material together and reduce gaps between them. This makes it easier to prepare compact bodies and heads before further shaping or trimming. The tool is intended for flies, streamers, poppers and other patterns in which natural or synthetic fibres need to be gathered into a dense bundle.

Two spare elastic cylinders are included. As these working components sit inside the heads, they can be replaced without changing the complete tool.
