Stonfo Stripping Basket

Stonfo Stripping Basket is designed to keep loose fly-line coils under control while stripping and preparing for the next cast. Rather than dropping into the water or onto the ground, the line collects inside the basket, where it is less likely to catch on vegetation, rocks, boat fittings or the angler’s legs. The basket is made from a high-resistance material suitable for regular use around the water.

It can be positioned at the waist or on the leg using two quick-release belts, allowing the angler to choose a comfortable arrangement for the fishing situation. Inside are nine anti-tangle cones with a distinctive shark-fin profile. These separate the coils and reduce bunching, while their shaped surfaces allow the fly line to slip away readily during the cast. Grooves around the edge provide convenient places to rest the rod briefly when both hands are needed.

At 360x280x65 mm, the basket provides useful space for stripped line without excessive depth. After fishing, particularly in salt water or silty conditions, rinse it with fresh water, remove any trapped sand and allow it to dry before storage.
