Stonfo Tapered Pins
Stonfo Tapered Pins is a set of five accurately machined stainless-steel tapered pins designed to hold tubes securely while tying tube flies. The size range accommodates tubes with internal diameters from 0.6 to 4.0 mm, allowing the set to be used with both small and larger tube patterns. Each tapered profile helps centre the tube on the pin and reduces unwanted movement while thread and other fly-tying materials are applied.
The set is designed for use with the Stonfo TubeFly vise, item 610, and Transformer vise, item 654. Before tying, select a pin suited to the tube’s internal diameter, fit it to the compatible vise and slide the tube onto the taper only until it is held securely, without applying excessive force. Correct sizing keeps the pattern aligned and supports smooth, controlled rotation during tying. The box contains five tapered pins; the vise, tubes and any other accessories are not included.
