Stonfo Tubetech Disgorgers
Stonfo Tubetech Disgorgers are hook-removal tools developed for releasing fish quickly and with controlled handling. The shaped tubular head covers the fly as the hook is worked free, helping the angler avoid unnecessary contact inside the fish’s mouth. This practical design is particularly useful for catch-and-release fishing, where efficient unhooking can reduce the time for which a fish needs to be handled or kept out of the water.
Cut-outs in the head allow the leader to be picked up quickly, while the specially formed profile assists access to the hook. In use, keep the leader taut, guide the Tubetech head down the line and over the hook, then turn the tool gently to help release the hook. An anatomically shaped rubber handle provides comfortable control throughout the movement. An eyelet at the end of the handle allows the disgorger to be attached to a fishing vest or tool holder, keeping it readily accessible when a fish is landed.
The family is offered in sizes for hooks from 28 to 16, from 16 to 8, and 8 and larger. Choose the version suited to the hook range used most often, as the tubular head should correspond with the tackle being removed. After fishing, rinse the tool with clean water, dry it thoroughly and check that the leader-guiding cut-out is free from dirt or other debris.
