Stonfo Turbo Spin

Stonfo Turbo Spin is a vise-mounted twisting tool designed for making dubbing brushes. Unlike a hand-held twister, it works from a stable position: the tool is secured in the jaws of a fly-tying vise, while its working end engages the loop of the prepared brush core. This creates a fixed axis of rotation, making it easier to monitor how the fibres tighten around the core.

The precision ball bearing reduces friction and supports smooth, controlled rotation. The core can therefore be twisted progressively while the alignment and density of the material are monitored. Turbo Spin performs the twisting stage only — it does not replace a work surface for laying out, aligning or trimming fibres. It is designed as a direct companion to the Stonfo Dubbing Brush Device, item 661, but is supplied as a separate single accessory.
