Sybai Ant Double Foam Bodies 2.8 mm are ready-shaped, two-colour foam insect bodies with a nominal 2.8 mm diameter. Their segmented profile is formed for ant patterns, so a complete body can be tied without cutting separate pieces from sheet foam. Select the colour and scale to suit the intended hook. The buoyancy of the finished fly also depends on hook weight, eyes and the rest of the dressing, not on the body alone.

Construction and use

Position the body on the hook shank and secure it with controlled, broad thread wraps. Avoid concentrated pressure that could cut the foam; a thread base or an adhesive compatible with foam can help stabilise the component when appropriate.
