Sybai Blend Angel Hair

Sybai Blend Angel Hair is a loose synthetic fibre material for streamer wings, tails and accents in baitfish-style flies. Its loose form allows colours to be combined, layered and built up gradually. Use it as a complete wing or combine it with other fibres when a more developed streamer profile is required.

Construction and use

Select a small bundle, even the tips and tie it firmly to the hook shank. Add further portions sparingly while controlling the wing’s width and length. The fibres can be tapered or trimmed after securing; separated bundles retain a lighter, more mobile arrangement than an overly compact bunch.

• Streamer wing Layer colours to establish a defined back and the sides of the profile.
• Lateral accents Thin portions can mark a line running along the body.
• Tail A small bundle forms a synthetic tail with controlled volume.
• Finishing Trim the tips after tying to match the intended silhouette of the fly.
