Sybai Bodyflex Tube
Sybai Bodyflex Tube is a very open, flexible mesh tube with an airy woven finish. The gaps leave the underbody visible, so the body’s appearance and outline can be adjusted through the underbody shape and the amount of tension used. It is suited to streamer bodies, baitfish imitations and other flies built around an open, visible underbody.
Construction and use
Choose the nominal size from the diameter of the prepared underbody and the profile you want to create. Slide the tube over a smoothly formed underbody, leaving enough material beyond both tie-in points. Stretching narrows and lengthens the mesh, while compression widens it; tension also controls the mesh opening and how clearly the underbody shows through. Tie down both ends after positioning the material and secure the cut edges against fraying. Firm thread wraps hold the tube in place without closing the mesh more than intended.
