Sybai Camel Dubbing
Sybai Camel Dubbing is a 100% natural material with fine, kinky and strong fibres. Its structure is suited to forming tight, controlled bodies, making it useful for dry flies, nymphs and small streamers. Rather than creating an excessively loose halo, it can be worked into a neat thread-dubbed body where the taper and proportions of the pattern remain clear.
Construction and use
Separate a small amount, spread it thinly on the thread and twist it into an even noodle. Keep the body compact on nymphs; on dry flies, use less material so the finished fly retains a light, tidy profile. The fine, kinky fibres grip the thread well, but a restrained application makes tapering easier and avoids a lumpy body. Add material gradually instead of trying to correct an oversized section later.
