Sybai Fine Back & Wing Foil

Sybai Fine Back & Wing Foil is a very thin, lightly crinkled, semitransparent sheet for cutting wing cases, nymph backs and fine wing elements. Its verified reflective surface can be shaped over a curved underbody, while the flexible sheet allows small custom pieces to be prepared for individual fly patterns.

Construction and use

Cut the required shape while the foil is still on the sheet, then separate the piece from the surrounding material. Tie one end in and lay the foil over the prepared abdomen or thorax without excessive tension. The semitransparent construction lets the underbody contribute to the appearance of a thin wing case or wing section. Secure the front with controlled thread wraps, trim the waste and finish the head without crushing the foil.
