Sybai Fine Stretch 4mm (Latex)

Sybai Fine Stretch 4mm (Latex) is an elastic flat latex strip for wing cases, nymph backs and wound bodies. Compared with broader strips in this range, it provides finer coverage; its matt surface has a silky lustre and can be adapted to slim, gradually tapering bodies.

Construction and use

Cut a length and tie it in at the rear of the body, keeping the strip centred on the fly. Stretch it over the underbody towards the eye, control the amount of tension, and secure it at the front. More tension narrows and thins the material, while lighter tension retains more of its width. A rib wound in the opposite direction can create segmentation. Use even thread wraps when securing this thin strip so the material is not damaged at the tie-in points.
