Sybai Fine UV Ice Dubbing

Sybai Fine UV Ice Dubbing is a fine-diameter synthetic dubbing with a Flashabou-textured fibre structure. It is made for quickly creating shiny bodies and has the crisp, ice-like character indicated by this version of the series. The fine fibres are easy to meter for slim patterns, yet can be gathered into a fuller streamer body. Because the material is synthetic, it also blends readily with other dubbings when the finished fly needs a different density or outline.

Construction and use

Use it on saltwater flies, streamers, nymphs and wet flies. Apply a thin layer to the thread for a neat body, or place it in a dubbing loop when you need more volume and a stronger textured profile. Blending it with a conventional dubbing can soften the reflective surface and help match the hook size. After tying, separate a few fibres with a needle rather than aggressively brushing the body; this preserves a controlled silhouette.

• Material: fine-diameter synthetic dubbing.
• Fibre texture: reflective, Flashabou-like structure.
• Suitable patterns: saltwater flies, streamers, nymphs and wet flies.
• Practical use: dub directly or use a loop, blending to adjust density and profile.
