Sybai Jungle Cock Substitute - Orange is a flexible, pre-cut synthetic cheek with an orange Jungle Cock-style print. It is a ready-made component for tying to the side of a fly, where it can serve as a cheek on a streamer, wet fly or nymph. The component has a ready-cut outline and requires only positioning and securing at the root.

Construction and use

First compare the cheek with the fly’s size and profile by holding it at the intended tie-in point. Secure the root with light thread wraps, set the printed face at the required angle, and only then add firmer wraps. Place the second component on the opposite side at the same distance from the head. If excess material remains at the root, trim it with sharp scissors before finishing the head. Use moderate thread pressure so the flexible component stays flat and retains its alignment.
