Sybai Mirage Braidback - 3.5 mm

Sybai Mirage Braidback 3.5 mm is a reflective braided strip with a nominal width of 3.5 mm. Its clearly defined texture is combined with a pearlescent, opalescent sheen that changes with the angle of the light. The material is intended for nymph backs, wing cases, scud and shrimp sides, and short body details.

Construction and use

To form a back, secure the strip at the rear, build the body, draw the Braidback over the top and tie it down beside the head. Keep the material reasonably flat when forming a wing case; on a scud or shrimp, allow it to follow the curve of the body. It can also be wound as a reflective body detail. Make the turns even and avoid crushing the braid with excessive thread pressure.
