Textreme Brill UV
Textreme Brill UV is chenille with a fine core and effect fibres that include a UV element. When wound, it creates a shiny, fibrous outline, while the UV response adds an additional accent visible under suitable lighting conditions. The material is suitable for bodies on medium and smaller flies and streamers.
Construction and use
Prepare the tying end by sweeping the fibres aside and exposing a short section of the core. Tie in the core with thread, then wind the chenille in adjacent turns, sweeping the fibres back before each turn. This keeps the body surface even and presents the fibres on the outside. At the finishing point, expose and secure the core again, then trim the material to the required shape. Select the UV version according to the pattern and the conditions in which its UV response is to be used.
- Construction: chenille with a fine core and effect fibres.
- Effect: the UV elements respond to ultraviolet radiation.
- Profile: builds compact bodies for medium and smaller flies.
