Textreme Brill UV (5 mm) Body Chenille

Textreme Brill UV (5 mm.) is a 5 mm. fly-body material for creating a pronounced surface without using a wide strip. The Brill version is produced with added ultraviolet fibres, which give the finished fly impressive colour effects. Its narrower format suits small and medium patterns, as well as shorter body sections, segments or accents placed close to the head and tying-off point.

Construction and use

Wind it under even tension, guiding each wrap close to the preceding one while watching both edges. The 5 mm. width makes it easier to match coverage to the hook size and to build a body progressively, rather than relying on a broad material across its entire length. When changing direction or finishing a section, secure the material with several firm thread wraps before trimming away the excess.
