Textreme Brill UV Large (12 mm) Body Chenille

Textreme Brill UV Large (12 mm.) is a wide 12 mm. material for fly bodies and strong accents on larger patterns. The Brill version includes added ultraviolet fibres, producing striking colour effects on the finished body. Its 12 mm. width covers a substantial part of the hook shank with each turn, making it suitable for large flies, streamers and bodies that require a broad, decorative finish.

Construction and use

For good control, guide the material in even wraps with enough tension to hold it in place without allowing the edges to wander. It may be used as the main body material or as a single accent. Because one turn covers a broad area, plan the body length and finishing point before winding; this helps prevent an unwanted build-up of material near the head and leaves space for the remaining tying steps.
