Textreme Bug Wool Body Thread
Textreme Bug Wool is a 100% pure wool thread suggested for hooks size #14 and larger. It is intended for fly bodies and can also be used as a dubbing substitute. Its imitative colour effects help create natural-looking bodies, while its strength supports controlled tying. Use it on its own or combine it with other materials, such as Magic Tinsel, when the pattern calls for an additional body accent.
Construction and use
The amount of twist determines the character of the finished surface. Increasing the twist creates natural-looking body segmentation, while reducing it produces a smooth and uniform result. After the material has been tied in, selected fibres can be pulled out with a dubbing brush to alter the texture and open the surface. When using it as a dubbing substitute, distribute the wool on the thread and wind it while controlling the desired body volume.
