Textreme Metal Braid
Textreme Metal Braid is a thin, continuous braid for forming bodies, segments and ribbing on flies and streamers. Its construction allows it to be wrapped as one uninterrupted material, while the metallic, reflective fibres add changing surface sparkle. The interwoven colour arrangement and mixed optical elements help match the braid to the visual character of the pattern being tied.
Construction and use
Secure the end on the hook shank with several firm thread wraps before starting. Wrap the braid in adjacent turns, keeping even tension so it retains a regular profile and does not twist sideways. It can be taken from the rear of the body towards the eye or used to create clearly separated segments. Finish by tying off the braid and covering the cut end securely with thread.
