Textreme Metal Chenille
Textreme Metal Chenille is chenille made from a mixture of metallised filaments that have not been overdyed. It is a Cactus Chenille variant with strongly pronounced colour contrasts. The material forms a bright, assertive body on a fly or streamer and can also be used to emphasise selected sections of the thorax or abdomen.
Construction and use
Tie in the end on the hook shank; exposing a short section of the core can provide a more secure hold. Wrap Metal Chenille in adjacent turns, sweeping the fibres back before each turn. Even tension helps maintain a regular body shape, while spacing the turns can accentuate segmentation. When the required body length has been covered, secure the chenille with thread and trim the excess.
